Quite the colorful NWS alert map...I see there are some new Blizzard Warnings across N IA...WSW's across C/S WI for 1/4"-1/2" of ice...while the south side of Chicago into N IN may see severe thunderstorms.

Pure rippage out there right now. Huge dendrites. Looks like about an inch fell overnight and getting close to another inch within the last hour. Massive development like you said. Looks like we’ll be in this for a while too.

Getting moderate freezing rain here the current temperature is 31.  The trees are adding ice to the ice from yesterdays ice event.

28 and freezing rain here. Starting to pick up in intensity as better results move through. Main roads are fine right now, but untreated surfaces are getting slick pretty quick.

Green county reporting widespread icing issues with numerous cars in the ditch and trucks not being able to make up hills

Really bad down here this morning 1/2 to 3/4 inch of ice is crushing trees and taking out power.  Winds are suppose to gust to 35mph and some light snow is falling.  Keeping my fingers crossed that I can keep the lights on.

Flake size has decreased but still pouring snow. A few heavier bands reforming to the west. A few inches down already.

Hope your power stays on! Ice is the absolute worst scenario...and those winds, not a good situation to be in. Good luck Clinton.

MPX just upgraded the entire metro to a Warning. 1-2” per hour rates coming. Pound town.

Sleet now mixing in, coming down at a good rate. But not all sleet.

 

Can’t seem to make up its mind if it wants to be freezing rain or sleet. Figured there was probably some sleet mixed in with the impressive radar return.

Pounding. Might be the hardest it has snowed all season.

We have crashed to 16F.  There is one, perhaps final, band of precip moving through.  It is mostly snow, but continues to be mixed a bit with sleet.  The wind is howling.  In a short span we went from freezing mist to blizzard-like conditions at times.

Temps can't crash fast enough for me. This storm has been a disaster for my snowboarding. They're sitting waiting at the hill for temps to drop so they can start blowing more snow to fix this mess. Total crap, this storm took a few days off the end of my snowboarding season, at least. I hope next Tuesday can deliver some good snow, or anything besides ice or rain, really. It's going to be one of those Februaries where every event is a nail biter of if I'll be putting my gear away early or not this year.
