Loving the trends, amounts from oax are now 7-11. Grided output at 8. Looks like a monster. Jim Flowers saying it is very similar to the Oct. 97' storm. Wasn't here for that one. But I'm not going to count my chickens until I see solid radar returns. Euro scares me, but wpc ensembles have not changed.

Wow, widespread reports of 1” of rain in E Iowa. Not sure how much freezing rain fell. It looks like the driveway is still a little slick, but melting as well.

Definitely encouraged at how good the 12Z models are looking so far. This is the last hurdle to cross model-wise basically before we start looking at radar. We didn't get over this hurdle for the Tuesday night storm but it looks like we will now.

definitely an issue with how heavy the snow will be and wind unless your power lines are underground where trees can't fall onto the lines

I drove home from Cedar Rapids last night and I380 was a skating rink. Way bad with many cars in the ditch.
