Jesse
An amazing 0.06” of rain today.Yeah just .05” here. As I said earlier today, these inside sliders are not notoriously wet or cool for the lowlands in the summer. We had plenty of afternoon sunbreaks and a high of 71 today. Tonight may be cool for areas that see clearing, though.

Phil
I enjoyed it. Went down a little Wikipedia rabbit hole about mountain climates in the Southeastern US. But we have a kind of interesting event going on here right now, too. It SNOWED in the higher Cascades this morning.Safe to say, that’s impossible out here in July. Haha. Phil
Spotty cell service and weak wifi signal, I’m guessing. Probably should see some photos showing up in a few weeks. If he’s not too busy. Also, Phil, weren’t you saying a few weeks back that the pandemic had put you into debt and you had moved back home. Now, we are on week long vacations to mountain top cabins? Perhaps another vacation conspiracy unfolding! My Dad decided to take us out here. Was pretty much out of the blue. It’s just 4 of us this time, though. 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=
Phil
I'm gonna take a trip to Johnson City, TN later this summer. It's not too far away, but obviously at a much lower elevation. Omegaraptor
Safe to say, that’s impossible out here in July. Haha.I imagine Mt Washington, NH can easily do it. DC’s latitude would put it right between Sacramento and Yuba City on the West Coast. Sierras are a pretty mighty mountain range... but good luck getting any significant moisture down there at this time of year.

Ironically... my area is pretty close to average. This map is misleading because the Seattle area is now well above normal including SEA and WFO SEA. This is because it includes stations with partial and spotty data in the Seattle area and the South Sound. TT-SEA
So..a normal June in Tim’s area? I thought that place was Hoth or something. Pretty close to normal overall... but about 4 or 5 more days with rain than normal. The same is true in Seattle where its rained on 13 days instead of the normal 9 days. As I have said... normal June weather can be pretty disappointing here in terms of summer expectations. Its often my least favorite month because of that disparity. This month was not terrible... at least we had some sunny, warm periods mixed in. I have seen worse here.
