Even with the abrupt change towards less troughing days 8-10, the EPS still doesn't show Puget Sound 850s going above normal until day 10, and even then it's a fairly weak signal.

Pretty weak cold signal as well except for the middle of this week for a couple days.   Most of the cold air goes around us and focuses on the SW.   Looks pretty close to climo overall.   And generally drier than normal.

The WA mountains sure could use some more snow.

Pretty unlikely there is much meaningful snow up here.    The ULL sinks south offshore later this week along the coast.   The mountains up here need it to come straight inland with cold onshore flow behind it.    Not in the cards for the mountains of western WA.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Loving the new option to view the entire forum as opposed to switching between regional subforums. So much easier.

GFS doesn't show precip in Texas now... but still not favorable in terms of clouds.

Arrived at twin falls idaho a little bit ago to stay the night, starting tommorow I'll be camping in areas where I'll have no cell signal so I won't be able to model ride until the 5th, hopefully the current trend continues. The GFS is useless for cloud cover.

Silver Falls #'s haven't come out yet, but Detroit, OR had a -1.7F departure in March and Marion Forks was at -0.9F.

Interesting, I checked out January 1950 at Marion Forks. They had 196" of snow that month and a -6F departure. Impressive, but 1949 was a full 8F colder.

In the mountains, perhaps. None of ECMWF, NAM 3km, or HRDPS show any snow in the lowlands.

Nether does the CFS, GFSxtreme, and Tarot-Pro. Any continued snow talk will result in a ban.

BC has 105 active wildfires. 6 new starts in the past 24 hours.  At least 90 of those fires are holdovers from last season, that continued to smoulder under the winter snow cover.
