hlcater
HRRR actually came in wetter which was nice to see, but NAM continued today’s trend and is now down to 6” in CR/IC. Pathetic. Hawkeye
The 00z NAM is actually wetter for east-central Iowa than the 18z. Bizarrely, Waterloo, and even James to the nw of Waterloo, gets more snow than Cedar Rapids or Iowa City. This run expands the good snow all the way to Mason City. Meanwhile, the HRRR has 3 inches in Waterloo and nothing much north of there. OmahaSnowFan
Been a very noticeable expansion in the snow shield size. Nice to not have to worry about such a sharp cutoff so close to Omaha. A definite continued drift of the heavier amounts to along I80. I’m somewhat optimistic of 12” or at least double digits.

OmahaSnowFan
My poor 3rd grader has a snow day tomorrow, but bc they’ve been doing part time in school/ at home, they’re making everyone do remote tomorrow. Poor kid doesn’t get a snow day on an actual big snowfall day! With cleanup it will probably be a “snow day” on Tuesday too. 1

My kids school (that was in remote learning earlier) said if we get a snow day- were treating it like before CV-19. so no school. Had one in the blizzard. Maybe tomorrow??
