Amazingly today's 54 was PDX's first and only sub-55 high of the month.

Uncharted waters for March I'd imagine.

Have you seriously googled Lamar Odom yet?! People thought he was going to be the next Karl Malone. Never panned out. Had a good career and then fell off a cliff. Coke will do that to you. It was like 1980 all over again. Never **** a Kardashian.

I think it is going to be a decent summer, a little bit of everything for us all. Definitely due for a heatwave in the Willamette Valley. Been a few summers since we had a decent one.

A little inevitable early spring troughing is skewing your opinion of what will likely be a consistently warm summer with higher than normal dewpoints.   Don't be fooled Andrew.   Think summer 2013 and 2014.   :)

The GFS and ECMWF both show dry weather on Easter Sunday from Tacoma northward to Bellingham with rain on the WA coast... SW interior... and in Oregon.

Hoping that works out... Easter Egg hunt outside is very important to a certain 5-year old here. :)    We will be in Bellingham and hoping for a day up there like today.

ECMWF shows exactly the same thing.

I hope we can get some much needed rain and snow in CA during this period before the rainy season ends.

WRF shows good rain and mountain snow in northern and central CA on Monday and Tuesday.

In general regress north previously, cold where looked at more broadly having been spreading daily more south since the 26th. This cold's .. over the NW at this point looked at more in particularly, having traveled pretty much full the way across the Pacific.

All of that will shift north in coming days.

00Z ECMWF agrees with the GFS through next week. We will see.

They need it even more anyways.

Just had a huge rumble of thunder and it is hailing for the 2nd straight day.

The last couple days have been as exciting as anything this Winter here.

EDIT: 3rd rumble of thunder in the last 15 minutes as the storm pulls away to the SE to Bellevue.

...SNOWFALL TOTALS SINCE TUESDAY FOR THE CASCADES...

Snoqualmie Pass got at least 15" last night.

Warmed up to 45 degrees though this afternoon so quite a bit of that melted. It's just too late in the year to build much snowpack that low, even with a bunch of snow falling.
