Day 6 (4-run trend) Great tilt and the ridge is stronger this run. Hmmm....

Day 6.5 The same issues with the ridge weakening just as a nice blast is approaching. This is getting old real fast.

It seems like between the GFS and EURO which Day 4-7 are in quite good agreement that we're a notch closer to seeing at least a backdoor blast.

I am on the school district road crew (check road conditions and make recommendation for delay/closure) - we are headed out this morning and roads appear not icy but it is lightly snowing. Headed up to our higher elevation areas to see what we find.

31 here no precip yet. Nice to see the coastal radar is down on one of the more important weather weenie days of the cold season!

Based on returns from the Langley radar down into SW WA and the coast…the front is out near the WA coast and some light echoes are just starting to move onshore. Based on how fast this events timing has been sped up snow could start earlier and end earlier than anticipated.

Currently 29.5*F , DP at 27.9*F

There is a bit of graupel on the deck and cars. My part of Thurston County seems to be in a friggin snow hole on a lot of maps, and I ain't happy abouts its!  Frustrating when McKenna is in the WSW, but I am just across the river and am not. lol (I know it's not that simple, but still....Argh!)

Our best shot looks like tomorrow night. Today and tonight probably will just be a brief slushy accumulation south of Seattle on the I-5 corridor atleast.

EVERY county in Western Wa is under some sort of advisory/warning/watch....except Thurston and half of Lewis. I feel left out.....lol

Only 30 degrees here with some virga already showing up on the radar. 
 

Might even see some brief wet snowflakes down here if the moisture moves in fast enough this morning.

I told my husband that I need a bright light, right outside the back window, so I can sit on the couch and check the snow status. lol I think he's on-board!!
