After seeing this gorgeous day today, makes me wanna set up my outside patio now.I remember 2012, people dining on the street downtown Kzoo at St. Patrick's day without a heat lamp or jackets and they were very comfortable! Ofc, the bad side to that was April ended up cold and damaged all kinds of early tree blooms and sensitive vegetation. Unfortunately, mother nature sometimes decides ta bring the cold in April and last into May as well. I remember one Easter year, I think it was 2010, not sure, anyways, we had a very early Orthodox Easter in April and you would think its gonna be mild, but instead, we had snow. That sucked tremendously. The Lam had ta be cooked inside the garage for crying out loud wearing gloves and scarfs. Btw..it takes at least 4+ hours for the whole entire Lam to get cooked. Its delicious. 1 Quote Snowfall for Winter 2023 -24 for Metro Detroit Area Oct 2023: 0.2" AN Nov 2023: 2.2" AN Dec 2023: 0.5" BN Insane! Jan 2024: 17.0" AN Feb 2024: 1.9" BN Insane! Niko
Nice find! That was a great daytime Blizzard IMBY with added lake moisture. Would love to see something like this in Feb.I remember that storm as if it was yesterday. Beautifully defined and also provided me with tons of snow. You probably received more with the enhancement off the lake. Hopefully, we can get another one soon. westMJim
We are now back in Grand Rapids after going on a 8 day cruise. We drove down so it was a nice long 12 days in the warmth of the south. And yes we had a lot of rain on both the trip down and back. We took an eastern route there and back so missed on the big tornadoes but did have a big wind storm in Savannah, GA on the way back. Right now here IMBY I have clouds and a temperature of 42° For anyone who is missing the snow here is the web cams from the UP of Michiganhttp://www.exploremunising.com/web-cams/

Just in time for winter's return too. Couple runs/maps showing the LES adding up for us through Sunday. Let's see how it goes. KBUF is pretty bullish like GRR and have analog events to back it up fwiw. I like their talk of good moisture and cold temps @ 700mb.
