The NWS always appreciates observations, especially detailed observations that everyone on here is capable of giving. That can be done thru Twitter, as they often set up a feed for that, or the mPing app. That can include final snowfall amounts, when the snow starts/stops, precip type, dew point, etc
This helps them with short term forecasts as well as future forecasts as they can learn from them. A few years ago they had a freezing rain advisory for Leavenworth, but I notified
Cedar Rapids hit 86º yesterday, so pretty warm. There was a nice breeze and the dewpoint was low, so it was nice.
Today's rain event is looking like a bust. Models have trended south. Several CAMs have nothing here after this morning's 0.02".
A great day today with temps well into the 60's to near 70 for most spots. Rain chances ramp up again by later tomorrow and through much of the day on Wednesday. Thursday looks nice but then more shower chances to end the work week and into the weekend. Near normal temps for much of the week.
Chester County records for today: High 92 degrees in West Chester (1991) / Low 28 degrees at Coatesville 1SW (1928) / Rain 2.50" Morgantown/Elverson (2002)
