December Weather In the PNW

I'm placing a lot of weight on my index that says there is no way we miss this winter. I suppose there is always a first time, but I'm willing to take my chances with something that has worked out 10 out of 10 times.

2005 was an all in, can't miss blockbuster too in Jimland. Not saying it means this one won't be but your credibility might not be what you want it to be.

I was so bummed I was on vacation in Texas and missed this event. I was living on the coast near Tillamook and the temp there was like -5 which is among their coldest ever temps on record.

Must have been hard moving around so much during Elementary school.

35 here but it has clouded over.

 

37 here.   Just had a tiny shower come though when driving home from Issaquah and swore I saw a couple snowflakes mixed in coming up our hill.

I went way back to the December 2008 threads. There were sooo many individual ones. People were completely off their rocker with their exuberance, even hyper with anticipation and enthusiasm, but it ALL paid off!

Nice to see some people haven't given up yet.  I continue to think we can't miss this winter.

 

I'm not worried about missing. We usually get something each winter. I don't think anyone is giving up on this winter (it's pretty stupid with January and February still to go) but it does seem that overall December is going to be a bit of a dud.

The MJO is heading towards Phase 7 which = cold PNW

Believe it or not we never stayed there while living out there. Have been inside though and it looks nice. The area is super pretty down in the Wind River canyon.
