Maybe I should have said GOA / Aleutians.  Whatever it looks excellent.  850mb temps are already quite cold at the end and the pattern is just starting to get good.

28!

No doubt there is going to be enough cold air to pull this off.  Dp's in the teens in the north interior.

Holy s**t! The longer range GFS looks fantastic. Major blocking setting up over the GOA. This is getting good now!

That’s it! I. I’m logging out with that news before someone depresses me conflicting models!

Snow Wizard, I always enjoy your optimism as the models unfold :)

Jim

Somebody has to do it.  The pessimism on here has been inexplicable the past couple of days.

Modest height rises at 384 hours being presented as breaking news seems very CNN-ish.

It would be great for all of us as it unfolds.  At any rate I'm just excited about the trend toward another bunch of strong positive anoms setting up over the GOA again.

I think you are understating it.

This storm is going to impact a lot of local travelers no doubt going to Christmas Eve plans. Looks like by some models, that area especially up a couple 100 feet and over might be able to pull off higher than 10:1 ratios.

2020-2021: 15.6"

You beat me to it!

Nice totals for King County for sure.  :)

It is definitely moving toward the ECMWF with the sharp cut off to the north... that was not on previous WRF runs but the ECMWF has been showing that since yesterday.

Yeah, the position of the low is a clear step towards the ECMWF too.

There is no understating 384 hours!

It always works out as shown.   Particularly when the 3-5 day has been swinging wildly with each run.

I follow TT SEA posts.  He usually graces our presence with a dose of reality.

For every Snowgasm map you can post he posts a map that shows rain or the goods going north or the goods going south or it being SUNNY SUNNY SUNNY all day for Christmas.  yup yup

Would like the Euro to trend north and give me some hope for Whatcom County... but I'm sure it will go south once again and I'll see more obnoxious GIFs from Mr. Change your name every month

Haha! I leaked a little of my drink when I read this!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

I have posted endless snowfall maps.   Don't be stupid.   I have also posted a few cloud maps for Christmas because Matt has been cheering on a sunny Christmas for 2 weeks now.   He still has a shot!

Sun on Christmas Day does not mean it did not snow 6 inches on the night before.  :)
