Perturbed Member
Kinda concerned we are going to get the bulk of our precip when it is having more trouble sticking. I still think the heaviest precip is certainly after peak heating.

BLI snowman
Kinda concerned we are going to get the bulk of our precip when it is having more trouble sticking. Eh, it doesn't have any significant bearing on what happens tonight. I'd consider the slush that we've gotten so far a bonus, the dynamics tonight will be a bit different. I'd just like the temps to stay down so we don't have too much ground to make up once the heavier stuff moves in. 33 here now, 34 at PDX.

It looks to me like they'll creep up a few more degrees, we're going to have a letup here shortly and peak heating is generally 3-4pm. Overall I think we are looking pretty good temp wise. 34F in PDX at noon isn't bad at all. I'm at 33F and have been holding for a bit now. Not expecting a ton more climbing, but maybe 1-2F or so warmer as this band dies down. Reducing the sun and killing the little bit of southerly gradient should take care of any temp issues quickly I hope.

Deweydog
When has a lack of snow on the roads ever stopped them?It made no sense. They called it for the day when all students were either on the bus or at school. At this point, you'd think common sense would tell you roads won't begin to deteriorate after 5pm or so. I know it's easy to call this from the stands, but good lord... They could have got away with any early release today, late start tomorrow and save at least a day. 1 Quote My preferences can beat up your preferences’ dad. Tenochtitlan
It's been a strange winter in Bellingham--it snowed a lot in early November, and then since then, basically nothing aside from an inch or so a few days ago. hope this weekend turns out OK for us like the ECMWF shows.

They always seem to hit the panic button as soon as the snow starts falling, likely just caving to parental pressure. I'm not even sure if the roads at 500-700' are bad right now.
