TigerWoodsLibido
NWS PDX long term: Meanwhile, model consensus now shows highly amplified ridging near 140W being broken down as a fairly strong W Pac jet streak pushes into the Gulf of Alaska Thu/early Fri. This will cause a vigorous shortwave to develop in the Gulf of Alaska later this week, then push down the Canadian coastline, eventually carving out a broad upper trough over B.C. and into the Pac NW during the weekend. Main model disagreement now centers on just how broad this upper trough will be, but the GFS finally seems to be catching up with the ECMWF idea of a deep trough over the Pac NW next weekend. As a result, after some rain and mountain snow Fri night/Sat, temps and snow levels could plummet as our first modified arctic air mass in a while settles into the region. Will trend temps and snow levels downward accordingly, though there is still a great deal of uncertainty as to how this pattern will play out. Weagle Chips being laid on the table. 2 Quote Springfield, Oregon regular season 2023-24 Stats: Coldest high: 25F (Jan 14, 2024) Coldest low: 20F (Jan 14, 2024) Days with below freezing temps: 24 (Most recent: Mar 8, 2024) Days with sub-40F highs: 4 (Most recent: Jan 16, 2024) Total snowfall: 0.0" Total ice: 2.25” Last accumulating snowfall on roads: Dec 27, 2021 (1.9") Last sub-freezing high: Jan 15, 2024 (27F) Last White Christmas: 1990 Significant wind events (gusts 45+): 0 Personal Stats: Last accumulating snowfall on roads: Dec 27, 2021 Last sub-freezing high: Jan 16, 2024 (32F) Last White Christmas: 2008 Total snowfall since joining TheWeatherForums: 42.0" Sub-freezing highs since joining TheWeatherForums: 4 Venmo GoFundMe "College Basketball vs Epilepsy": gf.me/u/zk3pj2 My Twitter @CBBjerseys4hope

TT-SEA
I need some help with my memory... I remember a snow event around March 18-20 here but cannot remember the year. I know we got 4-5 inches of snow right before we left to go skiing in Idaho. I remember the morning that we left was clear and cold and it was a winter wonderland but when we came back 4 days later it was all gone. I thought it was 2014 but that appears to be wrong. Maybe it was 2015 but I thought that was a warm spring. Could it have been 2013? Esquimalt
According to weather records, it was rather warm and dry in March 18-20, 2013 (that was here). However, 2012 recorded traces of snow on the 19, 20th and 21st. Perhaps 2012 then? On another note, we got down to a low of 34 here. Outflow was whipping and we are relatively unsheltered, hence the high reading.
