Phil
June is the 4th warmest month of the year here. For PDX to get into the 90s for 3 out of 4 consecutive days is impressive in June. To do it even before the summer solstice is especially very impressive.Meh, we hit 95 again today like it was nothing. You guys are pathetic at heat. Jesse
First new vehicle. I was tired of paying thousands to fix my old ford. And I’m not sure if it’s a Canadian thing right now, but used trucks are ridiculous. It only cost me an extra 6000 bucks, compared to a 2014 with 50k miles.Congrats. Phil
I like to hear that... the GFS was the worst model this morning.Yeah, I’d blend the CMC/Euro and their corresponding ensembles and run from there. And my description of the issue is over-simplified, but hopefully it’s sufficient. After awhile you can sort of tell when the GFS is goofing up the pattern just based on where the wavestations set up. Frontal Snowsquall
Mark Nelson is going with 87 tomorrow. Two out of four days in the low 90s is pretty run of the mill for June. 816724D9-6810-49F6-AFEA-4F88782A7C38.jpegNot really, the departure from the high on Sunday for PDX was +18 and today was +17. Even for yesterday when it greatly underacheived due to the high clouds it was still +9. Tomorrow will be similar to Sunday, just a matter of when or if the thunderstorms come. The 12z EURO which had a high of 88 for PDX today is actually warmer tomorrow with a high of 91.
