Frontal Snowsquall
Christmas event was basically Woodburn north and the Feb event dropped a very slushy inch (honestly probly less) on the grass which melted within 2 hrs. Places closer to Corvallis and Albany had nothing.Oh I see, in the back of my mind I thought you did a little better. I'm thinking this upcoming winter everybody will do well. Probably a winter where we get lots of snow regionally. I have lots of reasons for thinking so that I'll share later but a quick one is that since the winter of 03/04 every 5 years since then we've had good/great winters with either lots of snow or extreme events at least for PDX. I think you've also done well 03/04, 08/09 and 13/14.

As far as those years go, all of them delivered wonderful events here. I think 13-14 was the best for Eugene/Springfield as the early December event dropped 6"+ here before going into the ice box and the early February 2014 event dropped about 8". Obviously the potential exists for a 1969-type scenario but those are very rare. Maybe a 1/100 chance of happening in a given year. 1 Quote Springfield, Oregon regular season 2023-24 Stats: Coldest high: 25F (Jan 14, 2024) Coldest low: 20F (Jan 14, 2024) Days with below freezing temps: 24 (Most recent: Mar 8, 2024) Days with sub-40F highs: 4 (Most recent: Jan 16, 2024) Total snowfall: 0.0" Total ice: 2.25” Last accumulating snowfall on roads: Dec 27, 2021 (1.9") Last sub-freezing high: Jan 15, 2024 (27F) Last White Christmas: 1990 Significant wind events (gusts 45+): 0 Personal Stats: Last accumulating snowfall on roads: Dec 27, 2021 Last sub-freezing high: Jan 16, 2024 (32F) Last White Christmas: 2008 Total snowfall since joining TheWeatherForums: 42.0" Sub-freezing highs since joining TheWeatherForums: 4 Venmo GoFundMe "College Basketball vs Epilepsy": gf.me/u/zk3pj2 My Twitter @CBBjerseys4hope
