If I can get the 3" it's showing for my area then I'll take that.

I’ll take an inch at this point. Shouldn’t have gotten all excited a day or two ago about snow.

Keep in mind, possibly for your sanity, that the snowfall is light and protracted. That 2-4 inches likely translates to one inch or less.

I’m honestly just fishing for something good at this point. This month has not been fun- I thought this maybe could have saved it.

At least EURO shows a good 2-4 inches for PDX (more east and south).

Having a lot of inches on a euro snowmap is like having a bunch of Venezuelan or North Korean currency.  It doesn't translate well to reality. I've had 50 inches of snow on the euro snow maps this winter but 0 inches of real world snow.

Any good signs for Portland tonight? Or have we been trashed on again?

EURO showed 6-8" up here last night and I thought it was out to lunch. Was spot on.

You had an inch last night, I wouldn't be shocked if you had less with this. I don't see more than 2 inches for anyone in the PDX metro. I said trace-2 in earlier and I think most people may not even get to an inch at this point. Unexpected things can always happen but there is really no evidence to look at this as anything more than a few hours of light snow and some very light accumulations.

EURO showed no snow before 10p at EUG. 6" by 4am. So starting in the next few hours should be their time to shine...

I’ll take an inch at this point. Shouldn’t have gotten all excited a day or two ago about snow.

It’s normal. When i was your age, I freaked out at the thought of snow, back then there was no social media to follow as closely the models and forecast, it was merely trusting what your local mets tells you and continue monitoring. It’s always a huge letdown when it trends out of your favor.

This climate in PNW is absolute for snow and when it does happen take it as a reward. One thing to note from the folks on here is that they understand this climate and won’t get overly excited until the day of. It’s also very late in the season and expectations should be lowered tremendously.

This is something I’m sure you’ll grasp as you grow older and weather remain an interest to you.

Just my 2 cents for tonight. Hopefully this storm will end up surprising you.

SLE still stuck at 40. Further north most of the metro is in the mid-30s. EUG at 33 with Lgt snow. 0.28" precip the past 6 hours. EURO gives them over 1/2" by 4am. If they have that or more by then it will be a good sign for points north.

Could be a nice weekend ahead... maybe 45-50 and sunny.

Better than the weather in Bozeman with highs either side of zero. Sorry Kayla. ;)

Update... Sunday might be a little cooler but still sunny.
