Starting to develop a nice NE breeze here. Dew point is really starting to drop. Probably means that the Portland area will mostly start as snow which is nice.

We went to see it at the old theater by the Cub Foods. The next day it snowed A LOT. And it wasn’t even late February yet!

Eugene cams definitely have turned snowy in the last few hours. All the downtown roads are covered now.

Starting to develop a nice NE breeze here. Dew point is really starting to drop. Probably means that the Portland area will mostly start as snow which is nice.

Low is moving nicely, HRRR seems to be locked in. Maybe we could get an inch or two?

Serious cold air moving down the Fraser Valley now.  Sloping from 35 with a dp of 14 in Lynden to -17 in Prince George.  Looking like this outflow could be colder than anticipated.

Yup. I remember watching Jim Little when we got back to our shanty and he said Sunday looked like it would be a classic snow day. I immediately checked 27 different models to confirm or deny this.

Wow!  The coldest spot in BC on the Mesonet is -26 and Alberta -31 right now.  Those numbers are up there with the cold they had with the cold outbreak earlier in the month and maybe even a bit colder for the time of day.

Band on the radar may be getting here a bit quicker than I thought.  Looks like it is just about to Woodburn. 

 

At least here it is very light. Been snowing for an hour with just a dusting on the cars.

Watching temps drop fairly quickly in the Salem area now.

 

DP and temp have each dropped 2 degrees in the past 30 minutes at SLE.

It is just dumping snow on West Beltline.

Just waiting for precip now. Looks like I'm about to be waiting an hour or more for it to shift north like 10 miles.

Winds are SW at Port Oxford so the low looks to be a bit north of that now. Pressure is reading 1000mb at Bandon. 3km NAM showed landfall at 2 AM with a pressure of 1002mb. Generally the models are handling this quite nicely.

Hey El Nina.  This is the most well lit webcam on tripcheck.  Should be a good one to watch at the onset.  Basically up there on Berry Hill, OC.

The cold streaming in is looking quite impressive.  SEA is now 33 with a dp of 23.  A 2 degree drop on both the temp and dp in an hour with a breeze blowing.  Considering the really cold air doesn't arrive until tomorrow night I'm liking the looks of this.  The intensity of the cold over BC is quite impressive.
