El_Nina
February was actually above average precip wise for the Portland area. We saw about 4” of rain.According to my station we had 8.49" here. Guess it really wasnt dry. I think the lack of rain is what may have made it seem like that. It all came from snow.
Phil
The 'global warming freaks' would likely be educated enough to know that the climate has changed in the past and, without mankind's assistance, would continue to change in the future. That's not really the discussion being had with regards to mankind's contribution to climate change and mitigating the effects where possible. I've got palm frond fossils from the Eocene when western Washington was downright tropical, take that global warmists! You’d be surprised. Lots of folks believe the current warmth is somehow unusual in the context of the Holocene interglacial..it’s really not. Rather it was much warmer through much of the early/middle Holocene with plenty of up/down gyrations after the MHT ~ 5000yrs ago. Blizzard777
Finally think I get a break to mow and then it starts showering again and soaks the already soaked grass even more. Way too stressful to mow heavy and wet grass with a push mower and empty the bag once every 10 feet and stress is very bad for my seizures, esp when it starts raining while mowing. The grass is over a foot tall and this has been the longest I’ve ever gone in my life without being able to properly mow in the spring. When my grass got to a certain length I would just give up with the mower and use the weed eater. Messy looking at first but I can get it back to mowing length. That’s all you can do
Tyler Mode
This has been the wettest start to April for my station. And as Jesse mentioned, most of it has been stratiform type rain we'd normally see in November and December. Today is the nicest day of the month outside of the 1st. Up to 4.04" so far. Also mentioned, all of the clouds have kept minimums up. So far the coldest I've recorded this month is 41. Typically my lwoest temp in April is in the upper 20s. Front Ranger
Looked it up and now need to go there! Absolutely amazing and beautiful! Boulder is not a good place to live (overpriced and over regulated, plus little girls get murdered there), but it's a beautiful place to visit. The best times to visit are usually May-Sep, although it can also be very scenic when there is snow the rest of the year. 1 Quote A forum for the end of the world.
