Average summer highs in the low 80s, with chilly average lows in the low 40s. Makes sense since its almost 5,000' elevation there. July and August each average around a half inch of rain. Makes sense since its almost 5,000' elevation there. July and August each average around a half inch of rain. Mostly from thunderstorms I would guess.The Crouch-Garden Valley area not very far to the South of Cascade is only 1,500 feet lower but seems to be in a significantly warmer micro climate. I knew you moved to Arizona and then you mentioned a farmers market so I thought about something you could grow in Arizona and sell at a farmers market. I actually had a friend who moved to Central Oregon last summer and had this scheme to make a living growing and selling organic garlic at farmers markets.
