Phil
Phil always shoots himself in the foot trying to troll the heat misers here. That wasn’t an entirely serious post FWIW. It doesn’t look like a warm summer, at least. Could be average-ish, maybe a tad cool, slanted pretty dry? That’s my actual guess for now. And to be clear, I called for a mild summer (slanted wet) back in 2019. And for a hot summer with a late climax back in 2018. This is the first cool forecast I’ve made since the one in 2017 (which busted, mostly due to the flip in the tropical forcing/H-W system that I wasn’t foreseeing). 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=

Heck, Koppen lumps us in with Orlando/Tampa/New Orleans. Even I’ll admit that’s a bit much. Personally, I just call it monsoonal. Jun-Sep is almost always the same.. S winds, 85°-95° and oppressively humid almost every day. Highs below 80°/above 100° are rare. Cold fronts don’t even make it here during the dog days. Winters are clearly continental though, with W/NW winds clearly dominating.
