SpaceRace22
Just now, Phil said: I broke, abstained for 4+ months but just legit just chugged a liter of grey goose. I’m a failure You're not a failure and you should definitely reach out to a professional who can help you with this. The fact that you abstained for 4 months is waaaaaaay more than countless alcoholics have ever done, so you clearly haven't failed. Alcoholism is a disease like any other and in no way reflective of your own character, anyway. Needing help with it is no more shameful than needing help with any other chronic illness. But, if you're like me and will absolutely refuse to seek any kind of formal treatment or assistance even though you consciously know it's by far the best thing to do, then try kratom at least. I was a raging alcoholic until I tried kratom, and it completely killed my desire to drink alcohol, without making me addicted to kratom itself (and even if you do just swap alcohol for kratom, it's a million times easier on your life and body so a better trade off regardless). For real though, that is a magic bullet for alcoholism. It made me stop drinking overnight without even thinking about it. I don't even remember the last time I had a drink, and I truly would not even want one now even if I had a magic wand that makes it so I could have it with zero consequences. Also if you actually do decide to try it, just remember this: do not mix kratom & alcohol. They can and will interact in large amounts.

Cascadia_Wx
Ended up with a 44/37 spread here today. Fog or low clouds the whole way through. Chilly to seasonable ending to a very warm month and a moderately warm year. The only thing that kept this year from being top tier like 2015 was the persistently cool (and very enjoyable!) pattern late-January thru late-April. Fog is forming again now, and it’s down to 40. Hoping everyone on this forum has a great 2024. That also includes the members I’m not on the best terms with right now. Sunriver Snow Zone
Down to 24.8 now, hasn't been this cold in a week. Great weather to blow up some fireworks, and don't worry I'm not doing it around a bunch of trees, unlike my crazy neighbors. On the 4th of July 2022 their fireworks made a pretty decent sized fire in their yard, luckily it didn't spread and burn down my house. Thank God that this time of year it seems unlikely that anything can catch on fire, so I don't need to worry about them burning down the neighborhood 1 1 1 Quote Coldest temp this winter: -7 Jan 13th Snow depth at Mount Bachelor (last updated April 29th) 88" Snow depth at my home (updated April 29th) late season 1"! 23-24 seasonal snowfall at home (updated April 29th) 92"!! Sunriver absolutely kicks asss. Probably the only upscale high elevation community in the state. You have super easy access to Mt. Bachelor and are only minutes away from probably the most geologically interesting area of the country, Newberry Crater. Sunriver has great bike paths and is close by to many lakes, rivers, and some terrific fishing. Plus it gets tons of snow. I've been there many times. I've seen pics where the snow is up to 6 feet deep. What's not to like? It is super expensive, but if you've got your roots planted there, you're in great shape.
