April 2024 Weather in the PNW

Recommended Posts

AnoTHer  specTACular DAY here.   SUNSHINE and upper 70s with Light WIND.

GOD IS SO wonderful and BLESSING US.

Our

LORD

and

SAVIOR

cares about South CAROLINA too.

My brother in Christ, Andrew, would love IT here.   Blessed day TO all of you worried about IT not being cold and crappy ENOUGH in the pnw.   I TELL stories of this forum whenever people from these CONFERENCES ask me ABOUT dealing with THE terrible WEATHER in SEATTLE.   I say there ARE people who THINK it's not NEARLY dreary enough there.

And they talk very religiously and capitalize random WORDS.  😀

The 12z EPS is Jesse’s spirit animal. Nonstop western troughing for the next 2+ weeks.

I expected there would be more variability in the pattern given the clean (albeit fast) MJO. Could still trend that way.

I like how meteorologist got an answer for anything random that happens in the sky those Florida Punch Hole Clouds are not made from planes or weather related at all they are Ships same with so called Lenticular Clouds specifically those that show up in lower elevation and not above mountains

Good book worth reading by the way!!!

You’ve been saying this sort of thing for months now, but February, March and now April will end up solidly warmer than normal here.

Do you realize how insanely torchy post-niño springs can be in the west? Do you remember spring 2016? The fact the last 2 months have been anywhere close to normal out there is a gift from Andrew’s weather gods.

I don’t feel like pulling up all the numbers now but maybe I will one of these evenings. Plenty of spots in NW Oregon and SW Washington will end up above normal for FMA.  It is what it is.

I actually went on my butt to get down those stairs and they were all cheering me on and then they gave me a drink on the house.  The singer interrupted the song in mid verse to say that man is determined to get a drink.

Bane of my existence... D**n crutches.

Unclear.   I massively damaged my knee so now they are waiting to see if they can fix it or if it's knee replacement.    They want to see how it starts healing.   But some parts of knee will never heal.

I do indeed love SE GA. And I can’t fully explain why..something about it yanks at my heart strings. I get the creepiest Deja Vu feeling every time I’m down there, as if I've lived there my entire life.

All that damage from landing funny off a small stepladder? I’ll wager you had some kind of joint instability or muscular atrophy preceding the injury.

Nope... they have done x-rays and MRI and doctor said that my knee was in great shape before this happened and left knee still is great.   Makes it even worse to know that because I destroyed my right knee.   Just a horribly awkward landing.

How would joint instability be picked up on an MRI? Exactly how high did you fall from?

Just telling you what the doctor said when reviewing the x-ray and MRI images.   I have never had any knee issues... now I will be dealing with this for the rest of my life because it will never be the same.

It was from a height about 4 feet and stool was starting to tip over.

It looked like this one... top step is at about 48 inches.   I didn't feel like it was a big deal when I jumped.

Ladders of any type (even step stools) can do so much damage. Working at the senior community all of those years I had to take a ladder safety course every year. One of L&I’s top injuries in the workplace...The ladder.
And we had several residents get severely injured and or die (in the independent living part of the community) due to ladders.
