Thx, just got it, this October, unfortunately January was to cold to use it much. Ended up with about 5" here.

Going with 4.6. Some areas were fluffy and some were wet as could be. Did my house and 4 neighbors since I am the only one with a 2 stage..didn't need it but they have to hit every pass 2 times it seems once its over 3"

 

My co-worker is on the ski patrol at http://sundownmtn.com/ and they are reporting just over 5"..so 4-5 seems right for DBQ County.

Looks like after this small band, which is actually producing very heavy snow, there is another smaller band to go through and then it appears the storm will be over. I may just pick up 7-8"

Awaiting that next small band to swing through. The blues look fairly bold on accuweather's radar.

 

I will say, for a daytime snow event, this was pretty solid. Too often we have to depend on the street lights to try & see heavy snow fall. But between 2pm & 3:30, I think I had one eye on a screen & one on my window. Lol.

Official total in Dubuque was 3.0", although I think many would agree that is too low. Puts them at 48.8" for the year.

True, but trend this winter has been to trend storms farther SE as we get closer.

Finally tally around 4.3"...snow piles continue to grow but a lot of it compressed since the last snow storm.  I'd say its back up to 10ft...snow depth 16".  The beauty of the snow around the neighborhood is priceless.

My snow total was 4.0".  My precip total was 0.46".  There was a bit of mix early in the event, but mostly the ratio was just lousy.

ORD officially at 4.7"...season snow total 67.6"...MDY season total 72.2" thru 5:00pm...

I was incorrect before, official Dubuque total was 3.9"... Which is actually more realistic and closer to what I was thinking. That means the season total is 49.7"..

 

Oh, and the 7 PM update had temps at 30 degrees, so that will probably be the high for the day.

.39" QPF here, so ratios were 10:1... I don't think the models were that bad, just ratios were than expected, which seems to be the norm. Actually, last night the Euro had like .39" QPF on the dot for DBQ.

I'd say snow ratios were about 14:1 here...ORD had 0.28" qpf or a little more, that was the 4pm measurement.  The 850's tanked as the heavier snow bands moved in that produced the fluffy snow.

The wind really cut down on ratios for the first half of the event.

I know this isn't breaking news or anything, because it's what is supposed to happen, but whenever there is a strong wind, it really seems to cut down on ratios, even lower than what is expected.

Officially 6.3 here in central Wisconsin. Snow depth is now just shy of 30"!!!

Looking at totals we did pretty well overall. I would say everything when planned as according. Though you could knock of a few inches potentially because it ended for most part at 4 instead of 7 but there some areas in far NE IL part that did last 5-6pm.

MKE recorded 6.7" with yesterdays storm. Can't say I totally buy it given we had 4-5" in my backyard and snow depth only went up 2".
