December 2009…I was so confident it was going to turn into a December 2008 redux that I made a pizza bet with a co worker that we were going to get a bunch of snow…My co worker was the Rich Marriott equivalent and was convinced there would be no snow…He won that one.

GFS clears up that vorticity mess south of the Aleutains and sends the Kona low further south. Means a stronger, more stable ridge.

That’s not really how it works.  It’s the trough digging west into the ridge too far north that’s might be our problem
