June Weather in the Pacific Northwest

Geos

Recommended Posts

Been raining for the better part of 3 hours now.

I was thinking that areas around Kirkland and Woodinville and Bothell might actually end up lush green again with that c-zone parked over the area for hours.

Its been totally dry here since early afternoon but the c-zone is slowly sinking southward.

I can't run a 3-day mean... so here is day 8.5 which is in the middle of the period you referenced.

Here is the 500mb mean for days 10-15... still above normal heights. Muted as usual.

Lots of spread after D9. About 40% of the EPS members are troughy during the d10-15 period, believe it or not.

Hott August/September back on the table?

Sorry, missed this.

No, quite the opposite. The -AMM/-AMO cell persisting into August/September would swing the odds heavily into the cool direction.

Of course, whether or not things flip by then remains to be seen. We could still evolve into a +AMO/4-corners high pattern by then, in which case it’s a blurry picture.

Still just .02" at SEA and Tr at OLM. Far from a soaker most places today.

Real soaker just north of SEA. Look at the radar... been like that for hours.

Ya pretty much focused in a small area north of Seattle. Have over .50 today and still coming down good. SEA seemed to miss on a lot of the rain the past week. Even today just a couple miles north in Burien they even had .14” or more.

Awesome view from the new house tonight at about 830 feet in the west hills in Portland.

Good to have someone else in the Willamette Valley. We have a good spread of folks throughout the region on here.

Cloudy and 57 in Springfield and Monmouth. A few light sprinkles but nothing that kept me from re-potting the plants.
