Gonna be a shame to see my nice jump-start to winter washed away. Oh well, I won't be alone in that respect obviously. Good luck all you western peeps that have a horse in this snowstorm race! Hope you get BURIED ;)

Gfs is worse. The snow accumulations just went back way west.

Not going to get my hopes up at all for this system to work out for us in Eastern Nebraska (Omaha area). It just seems like the models have locked on to the fact that the heavy snow will fall about 50-100 miles to our west and north... which is completely opposite of last weekend's storm that missed us by the same margin to the south. It's almost laughable really.

I am just hoping we get more than a half inch to an inch of snow this weekend... however I am not expecting much either way.

0z GEM at 72 hours. Good run.attachicon.gif5CE33460-2E01-403C-BFBC-FAD3F77D7C4B.png

It moved a county or two west for us far eastern Neb folks. Overall not much change from 12z but even a county shift will make a big difference here.

2018-2019 Snowfall Totals So Far : 59.5"

Was just placed in a dense fog advisory. A lot of moisture for the storm to work with when it arrives.

Just got home from scouting the team we play tomorrow and visibility was less than 100 yards. My wife drives to Columbus for work and it will be a struggle for sure. Crazy moist out there, hopefully a sign of things to come!

Plz tell me that this storm will end the Nebraska tears/whining for the rest of the season. Otherwise, I getting tired

I love how according to some members on this board, Nebraska people are the only ones not allowed to complain. Anyone else can, but we can't. Seriously, get a life, your highness. Especially considering one of your three (!) posts is a complaint about not getting snow.

I'll tell you what. If Lincoln gets its first 4"+ snowfall since February 2016 (climo doesn't even come close to supporting the gap being that long), I'll not say anything negative for 24 hours. Just for you, sweetcheeks.

Dense fog seems to always be a prelude to a big snow system in this region this time of year. I have seen it personally multiple times.
