Rain and times this morning and 42 degrees. Some chilly March stats to come.

Looks like PDX ended up just over three degrees below average for the month, with a mean temp of 45.2 Coldest March since 2012 there.

A bit of a pullback on 925 mbar temperatures. As I’ve been saying all along: I’ll believe in April snow when I see it.

Kinda Forgot it’s April so posted in the other thread but we finished March with about 50% of normal rainfall at 2.77” and -2.3F. The worm may be turning this month though

Maybe I am being naive in this RAPIDLY warming climate, but I don’t think a strong spike of heat in early to mid April is necessarily a bad thing in the big picture. Of course time will tell. Could easily be eating my words with a side of wildfire smoke in five months.

33.4˚F. Surprisingly cold for a mostly cloudy morning in April. If precip was falling, it could well be wet snow.

Who knows if it will happen or not, but the Euro guidance for tomorrow morning is surprisingly plausible.

Yeah, it certainly didn’t mean much in the spring and early summer of 2022 but then afterwards…yikes. We will see how it goes. In the wise words of the foothill man Andrew we will just have to keep fighting the good fight and enjoy and seasonably cool weather coming in the warm season we get  

I don't even think its going to get that warm.   Trend seems to be towards flatter and wetter.   

Dumping buckets with lumps as well. 35 degrees.

Yeah we will see how it goes. Should warm up atleast briefly sometime here soon which is right on schedule for mid spring. I’m guessing we see a few days in the upper 60s-low 70s mid month. Should be great for the 1st Anderson island camping trip of the year.

It's still early in the morning and these showers are very active for this time of the morning. It makes me wonder if it will be a very active day. With the sun breaks, it will allow these showers to get stronger. 

Looks like a nice warming trend on tap.  Of course there will be those that say, yeah but, yeah but, yeah but....it might rain. Don't listen to them.  Warming is warming and it will feel good D**n it!

NWS zone forecast mentions snow showers here for Sunday morning. Guess we'll see.

I’m here now. Thanks guys. Hitting the trail of 10 falls early. Was snowing and 33 with a dusting when I left the house. Down around 1100’ on the trail now. Just drippy. Was sticking good up by north falls. 

Having a rain/snow mix again. 36.

It's amazing to watch these showers blossom up. 

Currently 33F and dumping snow at 300' in Marblemount with grass stickage. Flakes are 2"+ across.

I live far away from you but I find that interesting and I care. Pretty impressive for April.

According to my FB Memories it was snowing on this date 14yrs ago.

We could definitely pick up an inch or two the next two nights, but Monday night into Tuesday morning is definitely our best chance. That looks like 2-4” at face value. In the meantime we are going to struggle to hit 40 the first 4 days of the month. 

Its currently 120F in LA right now! ?

They’ve gotta really stop giving us hope man. Feels like we’ve had the slightest sliver of hope the last month and it’s frustrating ?

Thanks I would consider it a major rebuke for Tim if we can salvage 6-10” from this trough. Any accumulation though would be a real triumph.

Nice sunny day here in the Olympic rain shadow. Kinda chilly though.

Andrew has really been putting the work into the good fight! In all seriousness though despite the weather being a lot drier than I would prefer this winter/spring it’s been very enjoyable. Atleast we’re not seeing a warm/dry combination for now.

He’s been pouring his heart and soul into it and I gotta say it’s been paying off.

Would be fun to wrap the cold season with some flakes in the air but I’m not really expecting it to happen.

Has been a lot of systems coming in off the pacific recently with W or NW flow. Hasn’t been much in the way of SW or S flow it seems like…not even recently just this rainy season as a whole. Generally leaves us in the dry pocket east of the mountains.
