yeah, last night he was desperately clinging to the 18Z drunk uncle.

feel bad for the guy. whips himself into a frenzy over something he can't control, but would like too.

I remember the days I did the same thing every March when it came to the Mariners.

You often ignore detailed responses people make to your posts.

I struggle to formulate a rebuttal often so I find it’s less stressful to just let it roll off my back and relax. Been having a lot of small episodes which makes it tough to write lengthy responses and stress, even simple stress like trying to use facts to support arguments, can set it off really easily.

One of the main reasons I love the serenity of snow falling.

Well d**n. The procedure you did at OHSU last year helped somewhat though, right?

I didn't realize it was that tough for you. My apologies.

The 00z GEM/Canadian really wants to tilt the block sharply and digs the cold trough back towards us abruptly. It doesn't quite get here, but it's MUCH chillier than the GFS. Do I think it'll play out like this? Probably not, but this would be really nice in my opinion. 6z GFS in 4 hours 23 minutes

At the very least east winds look like a decent possibility next week.

The 00Z was actually a little farther west with the clipper than the previous two runs. Hoping for some ensemble improvement...

The GEM was better too.  This is about the time frame we should see pretty steady improvement.  I'm betting the below normal stretch on the 850 graph will get longer and deeper over the next couple of days.

One thing I have noticed is how rapidly the skies have cleared out after the last couple of disturbances.  Normally it takes forever to clear out after systems like that, but both Saturday and this evening it went from very cloudy to clear quite rapidly.  Probably something to do with the NE Pacific surface high being pushed further north than usual.  Could be a big deal to help with cold minimums this winter.

On another note...during the warmer weather the last couple of days it only managed to get to 58 here which is close to a normal high for this time of year.  Just two days with small positive + departures so far this month.
