Still 30 years and counting since Tiger’s experienced a thunderstorm.

That one they had in august last year seemed like it was pretty awesome, had a really good one up here the next day.

Looks like there was another good one in McMinnville

The 00z Euro showed the storm near Eugene, it also shows strong storms here Thursday morning. Hopefully the entire region can see something nice

That was probably the best one I've ever seen in Eugene. I've seen much better ones on the east coast. DC, Atlanta, North Carolina, etc. Imagine lightning more than once per second. It was sweet to experience large hail for once though.

That storm around McMinnville had a lot of people talking on the Facebooks.

I think there is an issue with lightning detection. The northwest face of Rainier has been going off there have been false detections across the state at around 46ºN

Happy Tuesday. My wife was mowing our front yard today and she saw a mouse. She played the guillotine today...it was no accident. :P

I took a look at it on a break and it was def a mouse. Too small to be a rat, but a larger field mouse. We have lots of cats in our area and two indoor. Quite interesting.

Trades/cyclonic flow should increase over the Atlantic during the next week as this -NAO pattern decays, so it’ll weaken some, but I suspect this +AMO regime is here to stay as a low frequency signal in 2023 (and possibly 2024 given post-niño circulation tendencies).

So far agree with the reports that today seems cooler than expected.
