With the short days this time of year, you probably won’t be able to score a 60-burger today. Sorry.

Yeah... its tough reach 60 without an AR event in December and January.   But 55 and sunny is better than 60 and pouring rain anyways.    👍

Yeah at least the cascade’s are mostly holding onto what little snow they have at least.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

60-80% of normal...which feels like an overachievement given the patterns we've been stuck in over the past month.

52 here today. Even these high clouds are enough to prevent the mid-December sum from doing any mixing.

Normal high today is 48... I think 52 means at least some mixing.

It's pretty much dead calm in Seattle. My 10-min average wind is 0.2 mph. Mixing was a little better this morning I think...1 PM is practically dusk at this time of year.

The entire day is like evening in the summer at this time of year.   😁

I see that its pretty much calm at SEA as well.   But if there was a strong inversion and no mixing at all it would probably be foggy and in the low 40s.

My son is anxiously texting me every other day wanting to know when more snow is coming.  I wish I had a good answer for him.   He lives for skiing.

Looks like low clouds are banked against the east side of the Cascades but the rest of central and eastern WA is a little more sunny now than earlier in the week.

I think this has felt pretty typical El Niño crap to most people.  Perhaps a few have had their blinders up or are looking hard for something else.

Oh yeah, I wasn’t necessarily referring to this form in particular, just general commentary amongst the Wx community that I’ve seen.

Finally got my anemometer back up and running. Looks like one of the 18650 batteries had a short. Hopefully it doesn’t happen again. 🤞
