Can’t recall ever thinking wow the NAM nailed this one.

It did nail the 8 inches I got from the Jan 2020 convergence zone FWIW.

Indeed! Though I would like to see that area shift about 10 or so miles north. Right now my old place looks to do a little better than my current location, however that place was at 280’ and my current place is at 550’.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Not expecting much here but would love to be pleasantly surprised. At least the mountains both here and the Sierra should get NUKED over the next week… us first and them second. The entire west coast needs a replenished snowpack.

I feel like some places are going to get more than what the NWS is saying.

Nevermind NAM is a great model.

Seriously, the 3 km version is one I rely on as the time frame gets closer. But I think that’s a 12 km map. HRDPS also can be useful as the time approaches, though it does not look as far into the future as the NAM.

Terrain bleed is a real problem here and the high-res mesoscale models really help in sorting out the terrain bleed from the actual snow.

Significant step back on the GFS. Just some seasonably cool temps but not really anything all that interesting for here.

There’s not wanting to jinx it, then there’s straight up posting misinformation. ;)

Incredible,  this looks to be the longest period of low snow levels this season. Snow levels should stay below 2k feet for ten days besides maybe 24hrs where it is around 3k. A bunch of 500ft snow levels.

I live 15ft asl. I might be a bit bitter.

Not very niño like. Late Feb/early March is usually a slam dunk for torching with strong +ENSO.

We did manage to get the “warm” (not cold) February monkey off our backs though, at least down here.
