Not a cloud in the sky, although there was so much blowing snow at times that the visibility would get low, mountain-forecast was calling for 15mph gusts which was absolute BS, it was gusting 30-40MPH at times. Main reason I pointed out that the snow didn't refreeze is because it's usually much safer when it freezes, less likely for an Avalanche to happen, although you're right about it leading to more snowmelt when it doesn't freeze. Thankfully this pattern coming up should restore all the snow that has melted in this warm stretch.
