California will be in a top 5 mid winter dry streak by mid Feb. Crazy thing is the extended shows no hope for any potential storms at hour 384 so we have a chance of breaking the 2014-2015 record of 56 days. SF last rain was Jan 4th.

The top 5 longest dry streaks have all come since 2011 with records going back to the 1850's.

Most pro Mets had put out lower totals on their maps this morning. For instance most had Boston in the 18-24" range.

There will be a lot more lows in the 20s in the lowlands the first week of Feb if the Euro is correct. 

Still staying in a generally dry pattern though with a ridge nearby I was looking back at Jan-June 2008 this morning and forgot how dry and mild feb and the first part of March was that year before we went full Niña mid March through early July

12Z ECMWF showed 47 at SEA today... made it to at least 50.   It shows 50 tomorrow and 52 on Sunday so probably end up with 11 days with high temps of 50+ in Seattle this month.    That could end up being more than February which also has 3 less days.
