Keep in mind that snow depth is rounded up or down. So with that being the case, we don't know what it actually is down to the tenth of an inch. It may be a scenario where before yesterday's snow, the depth was like 0.6" (rounds up to 1"). Then if yesterday's snow settled a smidge or if it wasn't a good measurement, now maybe it's 1.3" or something. Both 0.6" and 1.3" would get rounded to 1" snow depth. We'll see what the depth is later though. If it's borderline and if a different observer takes the depth measurement, then it's not entirely out of the question that it shows up as 2" later. But I wouldn't expect that because there'll probably be a slight bit of settling/sublimation as the day goes on.

15 this morning, coldest of the season so far. Rime ice formed all over the trees due to last nights freezing fog. Sun was out this morning which made for some very picturesque trees.

Yeah, you noticed that too. It's like pastels. The last few days the sky started looking more like a water color painting.

Was 75 degrees here in Austin yesterday, and 70 today and tomorrow. Huge change on saturday where the temp will crash from the 50s to below freezing and probably stay in the 20s most of saturday night into sunday!

Yeah it’s mostly just run to run ticks. The first round should give many a great. Round 2 will probably have a pretty sharp cutoff. As you know well though. Can be a huge difference for those on the edge.
