The Euro looks fine to me. Nice snow opportunity there. We have to get some marine influence thrown in somewhere to have snow chances.

Looks like a convergence zone of snow keeps reinventing itself in the metro area now NICE;) , keep it up and stall the southerlies til late march or early april.

Finally snowing at home as the temperature drops below freezing. We'll see if these bands can continue to rotate up here to create some appreciable accumulation.

Very light fairy flurry dust finally at my house. Gotta get up at 5:30 so I can't watch it transition to to real deal, but at least I have something to look forward to when I wake up!

Not really a cz, but definitely the backside of the band is regenerating slightly south of Seattle because the Cascades and Olympics funnel the mid level southwest flow into the metro area. Very apparent there is a lower-mid level east flow near the cascades as you can see some upslope showers attempting to start but failing. Could turn out to be a bad thing pretty soon for you guys soon if the level is low to bring in above freezing air. Another really interesting feature is around Whidbey Island, the only place that is getting precipitation in the shadow of Olympics, yet not getting dried out by the easterly wind like Marysville is. 3 hour loop captures all of these changing effects really well imo.

Just got in from sledding and snowman making with a friend who recently moved here from Florida and had hardly ever seen snow before.

 

Easily an inch on the ground here coating absolutely everything. Roads are snow covered and big fat flakes have been falling nonstop since about 9:30.

 

I don't care that it's not going to last. We are both like kids in a candy shop tonight.

The snow is more steady now. Still light, but looks to be picking up a bit.

So far so good in Victoria. The road covered with snow within 30 mins of it starting then they came by and sprayed some stuff on it and it melted, now the area they sprayed area is covered with a new layer of snow. Down to 29F / 27F DP, this look promising though it seems like the main band is about to pass.

Looking at the radar, I'm amazed about how the most intense precip over the last three hours has pretty much been right over me. It looks to continue for a while longer. I lucked out here.

My brother lives in The Dalles, as of 8pm last night he had 6.5" in his backyard. He is about to have a very cold couple of weeks.

06z is another chilly run. Very chilly next week with probably a very cold low level airmass coming through the gorge. Then a modified backdoor airmass that is quite cold next weekend, and a major arctic outbreak right before Christmas. Fun run and some nice dry weather too. Also brings back the snow chances Seattle north for Monday morning.

I would guess just over 2" here. Currently 27F with moderate snow at times.

Woke up to check things out and surprised to see 3-4" on the ground and still snowing. Streets are still covered as well. Temp is 31 but snow is starting to compact and melt a little.
