Pretty sure that was more to do with it just taking time to saturate the column in the first band. Wouldn't surprise me to see each band get a little heavier as the night goes on despite similar radar returns.

I think the models are going to toy around quite a bit more with that Monday low dropping down the coast. 00z just kinda kills it offshore.

Been a sleet filled evening here but the roads are pretty slushy, even with the temp holding steady at 30.

A friend of mine's a pilot and just landed at Sea-Tac about 10 minutes ago. Said visibility was under half a mile and there was half an inch on the ground at the airport.

 

Going to be a pretty fun night for everyone with reasonable expectations.
