It doesn't take much snow to make a huge difference in how things look.

I'm disappointed we haven't done better, but Sunday night / Monday morning has a shot at something good.

That time period could be interesting. Plus it is very close, don't have to wait 10 days. It has been awhile since we have seen a genuine arctic front with snow come through these parts.

In spite of the GFS operational not being quite as pretty as some earlier runs the ensemble is very cold. Probably the coldest yet with this possible event.

Normally the Central Puget Sound does well with Arctic fronts. IMO that's when getting snow counts the most.

00Z ECMWF does not show any lowland snow for Sunday night and Monday morning (for our area)

The 12Z run showed at least a little lowland snow in that timeframe.

Snowing pretty good here now. The Euro just needs a couple tweaks the first part of the week. Thursday looks like a good snowfall Seattle north. This snow actually is acting like real snow and not the ice blob snow I'm used to. Very nice.

I have been staring out the window for about 20 min straight watching it fall...so nice! Easterly wind blowing it up against my slider and I am at 30F!

Yeah I would say so. Thanks for posting the map! So can we officially say that today/tonight is the warning shot so we can get that out of the way?

The 00z EURO gives Tacoma North a monster snowstorm Thu/Fri. Big time model disagreement as to where the L will go. GEM and GFS send it into Cailfornia, EURO sends it way up North. Big spread LOL. Somebody is going to get clobbered next week. Good thing is that Arctic air will not be going away anytime soon.

Just started snowing here in Victoria. It's coming down pretty quickly, though I'm not sure how much longer this band will last. The GFS seems to keep the outflow going until tomorrow evening with 925mb temps below freezing until well into tomorrow night. Low level temperatures are shown to warm, but I'd be happy if it just stayed as snow until early tomorrow afternoon.
