Wow. Beaverton School District canceled school today. They are very poor decision makers.

I'm going to be working until July at this rate.

Yes, summer break might be renamed "4th of July weekend" in certain districts.  My wife hasn't worked since 12/21 in Sandy.  They're two hours late but she took a planned day off so the streak continues.  And, with more snow Wednesday, who knows?

Roads are covered in snow and ice here this morning and school is on time.

Since the RPM uses much of the same data as the GFS it looks like the 12z is going to be quite snowy for the PDX area.

Cold Season 2023/24:

Total snowfall: 26"

Highest daily snowfall: 5"

Deepest snow depth: 12"

Coldest daily high: -20ºF

Coldest daily low: -42ºF

Number of subzero days: 5

I'm not Yev. Winter is not over.

You just posted about it the other day though Yev. Remember? You said warm spells always follow cold spells like this and we were in for warmth and pineapple expresses the rest of the month. Have you changed your thoughts?

I'm not Yev. I don't even know who that is? If you tell me who he is I'll answer your question Jesse.

I dont think it's him. Yev's been posting a lot on Facebook about the weather and it sounds like Heavy Snow took a much needed break.

Could be wrong though.

I consider Yev a friend, he's even been to my house. Great guy. I hope you guys aren't talking poorly about him.

Easy. He may be nice but he is hands down the biggest weenie, raunchiest, most antagonistic person I have seen in a weather community. I wouldn't waste a bunch of energy defending him. He has a thick skin (he has to with his extremely bullish "forecasting") and can take criticism.

I hope you can make it out fine, there shouldn't be any ice problems. I don't know how much snow it takes to cause delays.

Good question, anyone have any flight delay information? What would I expect with different thresholds of snow?

I flew out on 12/14, maybe an hour delay was all.

I actually have never dealt with the guy too much personally. I remember he used to post on the Fox 12 blog. I did hear from a few sources that he is Heavy Snow's secret identity, but who knows.

I can tell you right now I'm not him and this is the last time I'm going to address that.
