That sounds like par for the course. Of my past storms the 2011 storm did not have as much wind as the storms in Bay City but then again Bay City is at the SW part of Saginaw Bay and with a NE wind they get not only more wind but also lake enhanced snow as well.

Hoosier
Almost fainted when I saw the 12z GFS. The 10:1 snow map looks really nice too. Verbatim on that run, there's a window on Friday with almost dry adiabatic lapse rates to 850 mb where 75 kt flow resides. 2

I hope you do better than you think this morning. I suppose I could "luck out" via a favorably timed occlusion, or stalling in just the right place. Just prepping myself for the worst, which seems to be a theme in my new locale when it comes to winter events. Also doesn't help that I'm riding a personal low streak for snow the past 3 winters. Still, don't know how I'm going to get anything done at the office this week. Chambana
See a few familiar faces here, hi everyone! First post here. Champaign is sitting good right now. 12z GFS has 55-65mph winds over central Illinois, whipping a 6-12” snowfall.
