Deweydog
Unfortunately, the closer we get to MLK the statistical accuracy of wishcasting goes down sharply. It's not unheard of to go from an utter lock to complete mystification in a very short span of time. Something to definitely watch coming up in the models. At this point, all my preference indices are still pointing toward a big second half of the month! Quote My preferences can beat up your preferences’ dad. BLI snowman
Flint has been on a roll in the WPAC warm pool/NPAC ridge era. Tied their all-time record low with -25 in the Feb 2015 cold wave, set the March record with -16 on 3/3/2014, just broke the December record with -18, and also hit -21 in the infamous "polar vortex" cold wave in Jan 2014.Must be something in the water there.

TigerWoodsLibido
After our great winter last year I figured there would be a regression to the mean. Didn't think it would be a regression to a snowless winter but it is certainly looking that way at this point. Frontal Snowsquall
Well 2017 has been one heck of a year. The January snowstorm where I got over a foot of snow and then stayed on the ground for like a week afterwards will be something I will always remember. Then to close out the year I got a few inches of snow on Christmas Eve and was able to get a white Christmas. Goodbye 2017!
