The good news is that it's still just 33º -- the sun only just came out for the first time today -- so colder air than last night is already in place. Yeah, its going to be a colder airmass too. I don't see why they are so bearish about snow chances down there. The models never actually showed much if anything down there last night. So it was pretty obvious they were going to bust. Been awhile since we’ve seen a day with both a record low max and a record low. Some interesting dynamics at play with this. Some shear between the 850 and 700mb levels and the current S winds set up convergence potential later as the low drops south. Oh well, it's performing well in many areas to the north, and hopefully we'll still get our turn in the next few hours.
