GFS ensembles just keep extending the cold in the long range. Could end up a pretty ridiculous period of late season cold and snow when all is said and done.

Just can't catch a break here. You were right about one thing, it doesn't like to snow on Feb 18th. Victoria's pathetic daily record still stands, in fact with a high/low of 40/31F at YYJ the day will appear pretty unremarkable in the record books.

Precipitation will be stronger. They historically underestimate precipitation and are too fast to move these systems out like what the NWS said earlier. I'm not all that worried. Still thinking a big snowstorm for PDX Metro tomorrow.

I think we'll be hard pressed to get much below 31 or so with the snow, so 10:1 seems reasonable down here.

There are no snow maps for euro on that site.

 

You can go to the free weather.us site but It loads slow. I also think weather underground still has a free Euro snowfall map but it’s been awhile since I’ve been there.

I miss that station. I always looked forward to it when I'd spend time up north back in the late '90's.

It's beginning to appear the weird scenario being hinted at by the models of the NAO block and PNA block connecting may indeed happen.  I don't think I've seen that this entire century so far.  This whole situation is blocky, cold, and wet enough for a long enough time I would say everyone will get snow at some point.
