SEA is at 80 now. First time on the 4th since 2015. It's been a long wait!

Silverton went like 9 years waiting for a snowstorm from early Feb 1995-late Dec 2003. 3 years is nothing.

I make fantastic waffles.

There used to be an awesome food trailer in north Portland called 'Wicked Waffles' they had some really good specialty waffles, I think they went out of business, not sure why...

Pretty much a forecast bust for the NWS down here. Only 68 degrees outside, but feels nice. Solid Phil weather conditions.

Really pleasant for fireworks. Only in the 70s today.

Heading out to finally mow the lawn so it looks decent for a party my kids are having tomorrow. Have not been able to do it lately because its been so wet. Have not used the sprinklers even once on the grass yet this year.

 

I am guessing surface moisture is not abnormally dry here. The ground is squishy and there are some mushrooms growing in there. It can't get any wetter at this time of year. :)

So you had multiple trips planned, obviously cancelled, but I have to ask. Did you tell your kids to invite people for a party ahead of time and have the caveat that it may be cancelled pending your weather preferences for the holiday or was it planned last minute?

 

Something doesn't seem right here, I would like to think you didn't have your kids plan a "just in case the weather is good here party".

      I am quite surprised that Haley pulled over 20% here. We do have an open primary, but this is a solidly Trump type of state and the nomination has long been wrapped up.

      May 2024 Pacific Northwest Weather

      Honestly, I think I'm going to punt the forecast by a day. For chances above 90 the downslope winds are slightly stronger, but 850s are slightly lower, so I'll hold 89 for Friday for now, since in my mind they wash out. Either way I'll take a closer look at the downslope effects tomorrow. I have noticed though despite the lower 850s, The Euro has gone up in temperature at 2m, due to the downslope winds, which it isn't amazing at modeling the strength.
