We are blocked from the lower horizon by a hill to our West, so we missed out on the brilliant oranges. The rest of the sky was composed of shades of red that I had never seen before. Our entire party literally stopped everything to watch.

Someone launched a drone at that time. I wish I knew who it was. Those pics must have been amazing.

I probably would have had to pull over too

Hopefully Luvstheweather didn’t blow himself up...haven’t seen him post since the 4th! Though with his arsenal that would have made the news!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

One cell taking off east of Buckley.

Just missed me to the east and now it has fallen apart and its sunny again.

Another cell has really taken off down there... but its a little farther east than the last one so I am doubting that will make it here either.   Can't buy a raindrop!

Although it did rain enough overnight so that everything was really wet here this morning... its been a long 12-hour dry spell.   :)

Storm seems to be making way towards Bonney Lake maybe the east side of Puyallup.

You got cold anomaly feet there for a while.

Only frontal snowsquall stuck to his guns with his extremecast.

I admit I was second-guessing my warm July idea, after that initial round of ridging in late June ended much faster than I was expecting.

Thankfully, it was just a big, ugly timing mistake.

Just showed the painters the radar....a little too close if it blossoms

Watch out another cell further to the SW.

Haha, you guys are getting more frequent thunderstorms than me this year. With better temperatures too.

I’ve only seen one severe storm all year. Pathetic.

Went to pick up food... sunny when I left and raining pretty good when I came back up the hill.

You can see how dire the drought situation is here.    ;)

As in the Battle ship game...near miss :)

Just missing out on the heavy part of the cell. It just a notch east of my place. No lightning or boomers heard. This pic is the west end of the cell against the blue sky

Yeah...  its soooooo close to you.   Slowly moving north... still raining just as hard here as in the driving video above.   Nice soaking rain.

Two hurricanes by mid-July? Time to scour the earth for analogs.
