July 2018 Weather in the Pacific Northwest

Due for what, what does mother nature owe you, did she borrow money from you, take your soul?

Based on normal. Due for some sunny days... looks like it will be coming.

You keep hiding behind the old, "I am just reporting stats and stuff", when the fact of the matter is you think you found a new way to complain using "stats" as your reason, that you can't see that we see through the bullshit, it's the same thing everyday with you, I wasn't on this forum for the apparent infamous Tim meltdowns of years past but if this is any indication to just a part of it, d**n!! I truly feel bad for you and yours...

I missed this one!

I post weather stats... on weather I like and don't like.

And my wife and kids love me. I am truly blessed. :)

What makes Tim most enjoyable is when someone takes the bait and goes all PMS vs. OCD cage match. Good stuff, especially with a warm spell on the horizon.

Nice to see Tim finally got around to hiring an attorney here.

It really is because of your overall narrative, self assess dude!

It's been unusually cloudy. Statistically due for some sun. That is the fact. You said that stat did not matter because you can be outside anyways. Still a valid observation. I did not say anything about being outside. We were outside all day today... but it really feels like it's been unusually cloudy for summer here. And it has.

Now comes the sun.

Walked up to our neighbors place to grab something and had to sit and just enjoy the view and that flaming ball in the sky that has been hiding a lot lately. So nice!!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Nice morning!

Beautiful... although there are some high clouds poised to move in from Seattle northward today.

I think this is the week it finally starts to dry out here and sprinklers will be needed by the end of the week. That is pretty much expected by the middle of July... but just a short window before the first significant rain usually comes in mid to late August. At least that is how it normally works and this year has been behaving fairly normal for us.

What type of soil do you have there? If you are higher up then it might not hold water like at your old house.

Should be the 5th mostly sunny day here since official start of summer on 6/21... assuming the clouds moving in offshore remain thin.

Overall... the 00Z ECMWF was cooler than the 12Z run (temp maps posted yesterday).

Thursday and Sunday are still hot... but Friday and Saturday and also Monday were quite a bit cooler.   And by day 10... the highs have been knocked down to normal with a ULL approaching.

Driving through eastern Oregon, summery weather really seems to rule the roost over here. The few local fir trees in the little towns and communities seem like they're sweating bullets...

Yay! Moves in the day I arrive. Perfect timing.

Did not hear you mention that the dewpoint there is currently in the upper 40s... it might seem humid here in comparison!

DCA is at 81 with a dewpoint of 48 at 12:15.    The definition of summer pleasantness!

Dewpoint at SEA is a sticky 54.    ;)

Even more strange... your extremely pleasant weather is the result of this current 500mb pattern...

Boondocked overnight at Biggs jct. Almost to Blalock Canyon. Suppose to be 97 in Hermiston and 100 in Ontario today. Beautiful summery weather. I'm actually on my way to Ketchum-Stanley area of Idaho, should be a little cooler, just perfect for camping.

Why run away from the heat? You should camp in the Hanford Reach monument near Kennewick. Temps should be well into the 100s there. Dry as a bone too.

It feels amazing outside. In fact, we actually broke the daily record for lowest dewpoint. That almost never happens anymore.

Of course the swamp returns in a few days. It never stays dormant for long, especially in July/August.

Not a hint of rain the next 2 1/2 weeks on the GFS. I had 0.03 on the 1st I believe...Probably going to be it for the month.

Silver Falls has had 13 completely dry July's since 1938, so not super unusual. Long term average is only 0.87".

And we’re lucky the Bermuda High retrograded when it did, or soon-to-be hurricane Chris would have plowed right in here and cancelled my trip. #DodgedABullet
