Black Hole
Summer seems to finally be arriving in Utah. Kayla
Hasn't been above 67º here since last Tuesday. Still only one 80+ day on the year so no doubt summer is off to a slow start which is fine by me! Plenty of precip over the last week as well, Bozeman is up to 3.42" on the month with more on the way over the next few days. Front Ranger
Hit 89 here today, warmest day of the year so far. Next few days will be in the low to mid 90s, but I'm headed for Mexico city tomorrow through Sunday, where it will be 20 degrees cooler with a chance of showers each day. Then on to Tulum, Mexico, where temps will be in the 90s with humidity - but at least there's the beach. Quote A forum for the end of the world. Kayla
Still only topped out at 71 here yesterday. The thunder boomers keep putting a cap on things. Kayla
Bozeman has seen measurable precip on 23 of the past 34 days and still just two 80+ days. Maybe nothing measurable today but more rain/storms are in the forecast tomorrow through Monday. Nice to have things so green and lush as we head into mid July. Front Ranger
The last 24 hours have been insane. Arrived at DEN around 8 pm last night and on the drive home, got a simultaneous firework/lightning display. Saw hundreds of mostly cloud to cloud flashes. Then this evening, multiple rounds of some of the most ferocious thunderstorms I've seen. The thunder felt and sounded like howitzers right over the house. A couple different storms produced half dollar sized hail in the area, but fortunately it never got bigger than about dime size here. 2 Quote A forum for the end of the world. Kayla
Things are settling down here. Just a daily chance of a thunderstorm and highs in the low to mid 80's through the weekend. Kayla
Blows my mind how Bozeman is easily running a -5 departure month to date while PDX struggles to be even a degree below average. Yeah...it's kind of a head scratcher. Obviously a bit more UHI effect going on around PDX but there are much larger scale things going on it would seem and it's actually the low temps that is causing the most warming out there. It's been the opposite here this month. Kind of average'ish highs but the lows have been well below average which is odd cause it has also been really wet with high humidity. The negative departure here is going to take a big hit over the next week or so though. Front Ranger
Well, after a very pleasant first third of summer, it's turning ugly here. Front Ranger
Big storm hit downtown Denver for a couple hours Saturday night. Was a bummer since it delayed the Rockies game that some friends and I went to that evening, but was still fun to watch the lightning with throngs of other people. Kayla
Another day, another set of storms rolling through.
