Rubus Leucodermis
Yeah, about 6" of snow, then maybe 5-6 hours of freezing rain in Tacoma. 2012 was much worse, from what I've heard. 2012 was an epic forecast bust. It was forecast to be one day of snow, then the marine air would flood in and turn it all to rain and start melting it. Instead, the cold air held at the surface while the marine air came in aloft and it was a day of heavy snow followed by a major and destructive ice storm. I was in West Seattle at the time and remember waking to rain, going outside to feel how mild it had gotten overnight, and being greeted by unexpectedly frigid air and ice everywhere (with more falling).
