Radar says it’s snowing here but it’s just Virga for now. Maybe we can squeeze out 2 inches

00z GFS is gonna be great for this area.

Hoping we get hit hard here in Whitewater WI, that last storm was a little letdown, only got around 3" but it was so wet and stuck to everything. Beautiful base for the next storm tomorrow. Local weather is saying 6-10" and these models typically seem a little high, I'd be thrilled with 10+

Northern periphery looks to be loosing some steam at least in this area.  Those to the south seem to be locked and loaded.

I had a few rounds of thunderstorms this evening with about a half inch of rain and some pea sized hail. It'll all freeze up overnight.

Never mind. They basically slashed totals by a third.  Storm isn’t as powerful as they thought.  Still a decent storm.  Excited about the lake effect and cold though.

Sheesh... after greatly improving for the previous two runs, the Euro just totally pulled the rug out from under Cedar Rapids/Iowa City.  It basically has the storm splitting around us now.  The UK did the same thing tonight.  Now the 06z NAMs have both cut us way down.  The EPS mean also just cratered for Iowa.  I'm suddenly very worried about this.

NWS aggressive here with 4-8 today and 3-7 tonight.  Banding looks to be setting up the the southeast and ready to spin in.

Just measured 3.5” here and still snowing hard. Already passed the 1-3 forecasted. Winds are gusty too, snow is not that heavy so already getting drifts. Thundersnow reported earlier south of here.
