The snow line looks pretty high out here and in Issaquah. And spring is in a holding pattern along Lake Sammamish Parkway... just waiting to explode with a few sunny, warm days. Yea there is nothing on the ground here even up above 1000ft. This webcam is 1100ft elevation. Interesting to note, there is a subdivision at the top of the ridge in the background. I’m guessing it’s probably around 1500ft. Maybe a bit more. I think it’s the highest elevation area on Vancouver island with a housing development. 1

MV_snow
I give the Winter about a C+ IMBY. December sucked ballz but we had 4 days with sub freezing highs in January, including an epic 20/6 day on 1/13 with a strong wind. Then many opportunities in early Feb and late Feb with about 4 separate “dustings” but no big ticket event. Even one 2-3” event could have brought it up to a B, but just like last Winter, we just couldn’t cash in despite many opportunities.

MR.SNOWMIZER
I give it a c+. The 2 reasons it wasn't an f were the 15 degrees at work at 4:30 in the afternoon was amazing and the snow rate today was 4.4 inches per hr which is amazing for any lowland area in the nation. Normally those rates are high in the mountains or in lake effect snow. That was the fastest I have seen 2 inches fall here since 2019. Decent chance this is the last snow chance for places below 1000ft the next 2 days so it was a good way to send the winter off here. This is the first winter since 2016 I haven't had a large snow of more than 8 inches. Edited March 4 by MR.SNOWMIZER Quote We come from the land of the ice and snow.
