Incredible morning out there!  Crystal clear and 30.  These next few days are going to be enjoyable...especially knowing below normal temps will return after that.

That part does not make it more enjoyable for me... going back to normal would be better.    Even though that also means rain.

It really sucks having a seizure at work. Nobody else knows what to do and I always feel like such a burden.

At least it's nice and chilly out. 39F with clear skies.

My son just had a seizure a couple of nights ago.  Sick feeling for the people watching.  I can't imagine how it must have felt in the days there wasn't medication to stop them.

I'm so sorry you have to go through that.

The last sentence is certainly part of why I like deep troughing instead of flat patterns.  This weekend is going to be a real boost for people who get down, because of the gloom this time of year.

Average high is in the low to mid 70s in April and a clear sky is the main concern for the eclipse.   So Texas is not "crap" in this case... its absolutely the best option.

Another person I went to high school moved to Texas about 2 months ago…They posted on FB the other night a pic of them having drinks on the patio near sunset with the caption “mid 70’s at sunset here…Best decision we have ever made” or something like that. I wonder if they will be thinking the same way after a full summer spent there…

Clear and frosty with a low of 31 this morning. Beautiful morning.

Ended up with a 54/37 day yesterday. Partly to mostly cloudy and on the cool side. The next few days should be nice. As has been said by others, the upcoming warm spell will be a lot more enjoyable with some light at the end of the tunnel.

I don't get the allure of Texas. At least its urban areas. I've only really been to Dallas and Houston, those areas are horrific, but I'm sure the hill country or down by San Antonio can be nice. My uncle used to live near Tyler, he liked it.

He was waiting for the stupid insurance to approve it or something, ridiculous!! I remember our first cat scan my wife was waiting on the insurance to OK, we waiting in the office a couple hrs and i could see she was scared and waiting was making it worse. I finally walked up the the office and said do the D**n scan now and i will write a check. No cool to make people wait for important medical things like this.

You brought up multiple points I explained, did you even read my post completely?

To your first point, yeah no sh1t dude, only thing that changes is peoples work schedules relative to the sun schedules.

To your 2nd point that I already explained but I'll explain it again, in OUR PNW climate in this PNW forum the temperature outside is usually a good room temperature by the time people go to work, so there is never a need for AC in the morning, unless it is a extreme heatwave here. People have their AC on most in the afternoon/evening when they come back from work, and if the sun could set an hour earlier relative to when people come back from work, they won't need to have their AC on for as long. Again, I'm talking about a PNW climate, I don't much care for what it is in Maryland when I'm talking about DST on a PNW forum. Most nights here, you can open your windows, there is only a need for ac in the warm parts of the day.

Only thing I slightly agree with you on is a 4:30am sunrise is kind of early, but it hardly affects you if you're asleep, have some window blinds and you won't have a clue the sun is up until you wake up, and whenever you wakeup you will be glad the sun is out. Almost all sleep doctors still think standard time is better even in summer, I can't say I 100% know why because I don't, but I assume it is because a 9PM sunset isn't necessarily good for our sleep. They're the pros, I listen to them.

1 last thing to my post that is probably too long I must ask, would you rather have a 8:50 sunrise and 5:30 sunset or a 7:50 sunrise and 4:30 sunset? The 2nd one will benefit the majority of work schedules.

There's no perfect solution, but I like the way we do things now with the switch best.

4 AM sunrises in Summer would suck and I'd much rather that extra hour of daylight when people are awake. 4:30 PM sunsets in the Winter suck, but 9 AM sunrises in the Winter would suck even more. Can't have kids arriving at school in the dark.

I agree. Just stick with the switch we’ve been doing for years. People will find new things to complain about if we go to either permanent DST or standard time. Right now we sort of have the best of both worlds in summer and winter.

"Overrated" is such a subjective term anyway, especially when you're talking about large states that have a ton of variability in scenery, terrain, climate, population centers, etc.

As I've said before, I agree that Denver is an overrated city. And people have finally got the memo and stopped moving here in droves...we actually have had net emigration over the past couple years.

Most people that say over rated have not explored it much. We rented a airbnb at 12k feet, hard to do that anywhere else in the lower 48. We stayed off the busy highways and did deep exploring and that state has so many stunning areas. Just an amazing place.
